The architectural outcome not only addressed the immediate concern but also on a further larger scale, its context. The stadium was designed reflecting the image of the Trivandrum city, the iconic secretariat. With an open gallery capacity for 10,000, the stadium holds an 8 lane outdoor athletic track as per IAAF track and field manual. The track embraces a football ground as per standards of, FIFA. The stadium contains indoor courts for basketball, table tennis, volley ball, badminton, fencing, boxing, taekwondo, and gymnasium.
